Balloon Chasing Web Site (future launchings may include a camera!)

The weather balloon is carefully unwrapped and begins to be inflated by Paul McCrone
Note the red tank used for filling the balloon with helium. The balloon is positioned in the center of the courtyard of the conference center.
The balloon was held in position. The orange cloth is a parachute and designed for the sensor units to "soft land".  (continue, go to BALLOON LAUNCH)
